Who’s the Hoosier Storage Guy?
My name is Dan Lah and I’m currently a Field Solution Architect at CDW based in Indiana. I’m a lifelong Hoosier. I attended Purdue University and have both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Information Technology and IT Management respectively. I’ve been working in IT since 1999, first at a small business for about 5 years and then a very large business for about 5 years before moving to life on the vendor side, which has included time at EMC and storage-focused VARs.
This blog is my own and not a company-sponsored blog. However, in the interest of full disclosure CDW resells or performs services for the following vendors……uh well maybe it should be a list of vendors that CDW doesn’t resell 🙂 My personal background as a storage administrator is with EMC technologies and Symantec NetBackup. I stay actively trained on EMC, NetApp, Nimble, Symantec, and Hitachi. There are a few others as well but that’s what I spend most of my time on.
Thanks for stopping by! Comments and questions are always welcome.
Dan
You should take a look at HDI and HCP from Hitachi. I think you will like what you see.
Any update on Actifio? Have you also looked at Tegile and Nimble?
I am actually going to be doing a deep dive with Actifio in the not-too-distant future.
